Under Ten Premier Division
Curracloe United wrapped up their fifth premier under
ten title in six years when they overcame Ballindaggin 5-0 on Saturday. Goals
from Caoimhe Whelan (2), Polly Redmond, Rebecca Fanning and Niamh Hearn gave
them their ninth win of the season and shows that the future of schoolgirl
soccer is strong in Curracloe. League Vice Chairman Barry Dempsey was on hand
to present the winning squad with their trophy. In other games in the division,
Kilmore United completed their season with an 8-4 win over Moyne Rangers
courtesy of goals from Melissa Smith (6) and Erin Murray (2) while Erin Carley
(4) scored for Moyne. Midweek, Kilmore travelled to Campile and came away with
all three points after a 4-0 win with Melissa Smith (3) and Kennedy Cullen on
target.
Under Ten East

Wexford Youths. Amy Doyle and Claire Whelan scored for the Youths while Abigail
Clarke (3), Amy Shiel, Bobbie Culleton and Amelia Rees were on target for
Rangers
Under Ten South West
The race for the top two places in this section is
very close between three teams and all recorded wins over the week to keep in
contention. On Monday Adamstown overcame St Leonards 3-0 with Megan Martin,

United Blue 2-0 with goals from Misha Lacey and Rachel Gaynor.
Under Twelve Cup Semi Final
Courtown Hibs booked their place in the final against
Ballindaggin when they travelled to New Ross Town last Tuesday and won 2-0 in a
very entertaining semi final. Ella Maree and Alex Lynch scored the vital goals
for a very impressive Hibs side
Under Twelve Division One
St Leonards moved to the top of the division when they
travelled to Gorey Rangers on Saturday and won 6-0 thanks to goals from Lauren
Roche (5) and Chloe Ryan. Great credit must go to Rangers keeper who had an
outstanding game including saving a penalty
Under Twelve Division Two A
Shelburne moved up to second and can win the title if
they win their final game when they beat Taghmon United 4-2 on Saturday. Chloe
Doyle scored both Taghmon goals while Katie Murphy (3) and Jessica Sutton were
on target for Shelburne. Bunclody travelled to Bridge Rovers on Thursday and
collected the three points that ensures their place in the division for next
season. Laoise Kearney, Naomi Kavanagh and Grace Smith were all on target for
the winners
Under Twelve Division Three
New Ross Celtic remain top of the division when they
overcame St Leoanrds 4-0 on Friday evening with Aine McDonald (2), Ellen O Connor
and Ciara Burke all finding the net. On Saturday All Blacks kept their title
hopes alive with a 6-0 win at home to Seaview United. Goals from Zita Tiernan
(2), Aoife Houghton (2), Zoe Butler and Cora Sinnott gave All Blacks a vital
victory
Under Fourteen Division Two
On Thursday Wexford Celtic wrapped up the title when
proving too strong for Wexford Youths running out 7-0 winners. It was Celtic’s
twelfth win of the season and moved them well clear of closest challengers
Tombrack and League Vice Chairman Barry Dempsey was on hand to present the
winning team with their trophy. Camolin Celtic and Shelburne played out a 1-1
draw the same evening
Under Sixteen Premier Division
Cloughbawn travelled to Curracloe on Saturday and
collected a massive three points in their quest for the premier title. Leah
Furlong gave the visitors the lead before Lauren Doyle levelled for Curracloe
but two second half goals from Emma Clarke and Aoife Devereux gave Cloughbawn
the victory that puts them in a very strong position in this division. Bree

they overcame Bunclody 2-0 thanks to an own goal and a second half goal from
Kathlyn Furlong

when they beat Moyne 8-1. Megan Hobbs was on target for Moyne but goals from

the required points for St Leonards to give them the title. League Vice

Under Sixteen Division Two
The big game in this division saw first play second when
Seaview travelled to Wexford Celtic and drew 3-3 which keeps several teams in
contention for the title although Seaview are still hot favourites to lift the
title. Katie Redmond Browne, Eve Hession and Aoife Kelly were on target for
Celtic while Emily Funding scored all three for Seaview. Arklow are one of the
teams who can still catch Seaview and they collected all three points when they
overcame a young Tombrack side 1-0 thanks to a goal from Kayleigh Earls.
Midweek Gorey Rangers Seconds picked up all three points with a 6-2 victory
over Tombrack.
Michelle Coleman Cup Final
Coolgreaney Celtic 4 Kilmore United 1
This cup final was much closer than the scoreline
suggests although divisional champions Coolgreaney Celtic were eventual
deserving winners mainly due to their clinical finishing. Celtic opened the
scoring through captain, and eventual player of the match, Natalie Cushe but
Kilmore bounced back with an equalising goal from Katrina Parrock just before
the break. However, a strong second half performance from Coolgreaney saw them
eventually lift the cup courtesy of goals from Deirdre Healy, Karen O Toole and
Stephanie Hallahan. Kilmore will be disappointed by the margin of the scoreline
but can be proud of their performance on the day and Coolgreaney showed they
are a team well capable of holding their own in next seasons premier division.
League Secretary Martin Cahill presented the cup, and player of the match award,
to Coolgreaney captain Natalie Cushe as her club won this cup for a record
third time.
Women’s Division Two A
Bree United 8 Cloughbawn AFC “B” 1
Bree ensured their safety in this division for next
season and relegated Cloughbawn as they ran out comfortable 8-1 winners. Lauren
Sinnott (2), Shonagh Spratt Murphy (2), Oilbhe Raffertry (2) and Mary O Gorman
were all on target for the impressive home side
Women’s Division Two B
Rosslare Strand 1 Rosslare Rangers 2
Rangers caused an upset in this local derby and killed
off Strands title hopes when they came out on top in a closely contested
encounter. Emma Kehoe was on target for the home side but it was not enough
against a determined Rangers side who recorded their third win of the season.
Ajax Athletic 0 Moyne Rangers 7
Moyne wrapped up the divisional title when overcoming
bottom club Ajax Athletic 7-0 in this Enniscorthy town derby. Goals from
Siobhan Grant Moorehead (2), Ciara Tobin (3), Annmarie Murphy and April Breen
saw them take the three points, which they ironically did not need as Rangers
had overcome Strand earlier in the day which effectively wrapped up the title
for Moyne. League committee member Tom “Flash” Dunne presented the trophy to
the winning side who continued their unbeaten run with their fourteenth league
win of the season
Tombrack United 3 St Cormacs 0
Tombrack moved back up to fourth in the table with
this win over St Cormacs and showed some of the form that had them title
contenders early in the season. Goals from Eimear Whelan (2) and Niamh Walsh
gave the home side a well earned three points
