Under Twelve Cup First Round
Shelburne and All Blacks Red both booked their place
in the last sixteen when the two outstanding under twelve cup games were played
last Saturday. Shelburne travelled to Tombrack and two goals from Katie Murphy
saw them win 2-0 and progress to a second round meeting with premier side
Kilmore United. All Blacks and St Cormacs had to go to extra time before the
Mayglass side eventually went through 2-1. Holly Meehan was on target for the
Boolavogue girls but goals from Katelyn Boggan and Zoe Butler saw All Blacks
division three side progress
Under Twelve Premier Division
Only one point divide the top three in this very
competitive division as leaders Courtown Hibs fell to their first defeat of the
season at home to Kilmore United. In a thrilling game, the visitors ran out 2-1
winners to go joint top thanks to two goals from Shauna Kooloff while Alex
Lynch was on target for Hibs. Ballindaggin joined Kilmore at the top of the
table when they travelled to Cloughbawn and came away with all three points
after a 2-0 win. Goals from Aoife Codd ad Orlaith Kehoe gave the Ballindaggin
girls their fourth win of the season. Campile travelled to Curracloe and
collected all three points in a 3-1 victory, a win that will most likely go a
long way in confirming their place in the top division next season. Caoimhe
Parker was on target for the home side but goals from Amy Ennis (2) and Sarah
Foley gave the visitors their win
Under Twelve Division One
This division is also very competitive with one point
dividing the top three with St Josephs edging to the top after their 1-0 win
over St Leonards, inflicting the first defeat of the season on the Ballycullane
side. Gorey Rangers overcame New Ross Town 4-0 with Siun murdiff and Rachel
MacArthur both scoring two goals each to give Rangers their second win of the
season. Seaview United pushed Wexford Youths to the bottom of the table when
beating them 3-1 in Mersheen on Saturday. Molly Donohoe scored for Youths but
goals from Ciaradh Connolly (2) and Ava White Keating gave the home side all
three points
Under Twelve Division Two A
Moyne Rangers moved to the top of the division when
they beat Bunclody 3-0 in the Showgrounds with the home sides ability to take
their chances being the difference between the sides. Amy Shannon (2) and Chloe
Brown were both on target for Rangers. Taghmon moved into a challenging
position in the division when they travelled to Bridge Rovers and came away 2-0
winners.
Under Twelve Division Two B
North End moved closer to leaders All Blacks when
overcoming second placed Adamstown 3-0 on Saturday. Katie Law (2) and Sarah
Carroll were on target for the impressive home side who now play the leaders on
Wednesday in what will be a crucial match in this division.
Under Twelve Division Three
New Ross Celtic recorded their fourth win of the
season and look to be hot favourites to win this division when they travelled
to leaders Seaview United and came away 5-0 winners. Aine McDonald (3) and Kate
Lyng (2) were both on target for the unbeaten Celtic who are looking very
impressive in their debut season. Courtown Hibs second team proved to be too
good for St Leonards second team and ran out comfortable 10-0 winners with Amy Robertson (4), Abi Spencer (2), Amy Costello (2), Shannon Fleming and Ruby Annesley Doyle all on target
Under Sixteen Premier Division
Curracloe moved clear at the top of this division when
recording a comfortable 9-0 win over a young New Ross Town side. Goals from
Siobhan Doolan (4), Jessica Harding Kenny (2), Gemma Corrigan (2) and Derbhla
Doyle gave the home side their fifth win of the season. Kilmore picked up their
first win of the season when hosting Bunclody and running out 4-1 winners.
Britney Conroy scored for the visitors but goals from Kira Bates Crosbie,
Sophie Boxwell, Cora Miller and Megan Doyle gave the home side a vital three
points in their battle against relegation
Under Sixteen Division One
St Leonards continue to lead the way in this division
when they overcame All Blacks 4-0 and as well as being five points clear of
second, they are a whopping eleven points clear of third. Second placed Gorey
Rangers collected an easier than expected three points when they travelled to
Moyne Rangers but the home side were unable to field a team and conceded the
game to the visitors.
Under Sixteen Division Two
Leaders Seaview United recorded their eight win of the
season and moved eight points clear in the division when overcoming St Josephs
4-2. Sasha Walsh, Molly Power and Kayleigh Shannon (2) were all on target for
the winners. Campile United and Gorey Rangers seconds played out a 1-1 draw
with Chloe Banville on target for United while Eabha Cahill scored for Rangers.
Cloughbawn seconds and Arklow Town also had to settle for a point each as they
played out a 2-2 draw with Chelsey Somers and Niamh Higgins scoring for
Cloughbawn while Doireann Kavanagh and Lauren Higgins on target for Town.
Wexford Celtic hit form when recording a 3-0 win over Tombrack United with
goals from Eve Hession, Ruth Hendrick and Aoife Kelly
Leinster Under Eighteen Cup Semi Final
Cloughbawn are through to the Leinster Under Eighteen
final after overcoming Dundrum FC in difficult conditions on Saturday but in a
game that the home team dominated and were well deserved winners. Playing with
the wind in the first half, goals from Eimear Mernagh and Amy Banville had
Cloughbawn 2-0 ahead and a solid second half performance saw them hold that
lead as they restricted Dundrum to a few long range efforts. They now await the
winners of Shelbourne or St Josephs Girls, who play next week, with the final
looking likely to be at a Wexford venue in mid March.
Leinster Under Fourteen Cup Semi Final
Cloughbawn Under Fourteen side travelled to AUL on
Sunday to take on MGL hotshots Shelbourne AFC but found the home side too hot
to handle and found themselves 6-0 down at half time. The visitors second half
performance was much stronger and goals from Anais Curran and Emma Clarke saw
them get back into the game before eventually bowing out 9-2.
Womens Premier Division
Seaview United 1 East End United 3
East End kept alive their chances of catching leaders
Ferns when a late burst of goals saw them take a vital three points. The game
was scoreless with twenty minutes remaining with both sides creating several
chances but defences dominating until Jenny Brennan eventually broke the
deadlock and gave the Kilkenny side the lead. She doubled that advantage
shortly after before Fiona Rowe pulled one back but Jenny completed her hat
trick near the end to secure the three points
Killenagh Wanderers 1 North End United 4
North End travelled to Killenagh and came away with a
vital three points and have left the home side with genuine relegation worries
in what is proving to be a dogged battle to avoid the drop. The game was more
even than the scoreline suggests but it was North End who were sharper in front
of goal with Diane Leniston, Natalie Walsh, Sara Byrne and Shauna Carley all
finding the net while Leanne Naughter scored for Killenagh
Womens Division One
Coolgreaney Celtic 9 St Josephs 0
Coolgreaney Celtic wrapped up the first league title
of the season when getting the three points required to clinch the title when
knocking nine past bottom club St Josephs. Stephanie Hallahan and Deirdre Healy
scored a hat trick each with Karen Morris (2) and Sinead Byrne also finding the
net. League Vice Chairman Barry Dempsey was on hand to present the trophy to
the victorious squad.

Taghmon United 1 New Ross Town 2
With Coolgreaney clinching the title, the race for
runners up spot was thrown wide open when New Ross Town travelled to Horetown
and beat current second placed side Taghmon 2-1 in a thrilling match. Lisa
Marie Doyle put the home side ahead but goals from Grainne Ryan and Sandra
Murphy gave Town all three points
Womens Division Two A
St Leonards 1 Bree United 0
These two sides have produced some thrilling games in
the past two seasons and this game was no exception with once again very little
separating the sides. In a closely fought encounter, an Adrienne Parker penalty
was the difference between the sides and St Leonards remain top of the table as
we approach the title run in
All Blacks 5 Corach Ramblers 1
The home side kept their title ambitions alive with
this 5-1 win over Corach Ramblers and if they win their games in hand they will
join St Leonards at the top of the table. Tracey Sinnott was on target for
Ramblers but goals from Roisin Furlong (2), Tina Colloton, Deirdre Kenny and
Kim O Connor gave All Blacks victory
Cloughbawn B 3 Bunclody AFC 1
Cloughbawn second team picked up a vital three points
in their quest to avoid relegation when overcoming Bunclody 3-1 and dragging
the visitors into the dogfight in the bottom half of the table. Jenny Whelan
was on target for Bunclody but goals from Jessica Martin (2) and Danielle Kehoe
gave the home side victory with keeper Tracey Martin saving a penalty
Womens Division Two B
Moyne Rangers 2 Tombrack United 1
Runaway leaders Moyne had to battle very hard to take
all three points against a determined Tombrack side. Nicola Davitt put the home
side ahead but Denise Bolger got Tombrack on level terms before Siobhan Grant
Moorehead scored to give Moyne their ninth win of the season and on track for
the league title
